About

My mother molded me out of chocolate chip cookie dough and fed me a steady diet of children’s books. I ate the works of Dr. Seuss, Margaret Wise Brown, Robert Munsch, and Roald Dahl for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.

In grade school, I wrote children’s books of my own. (I was a child, though, so I referred to them only as “books.”) I went on to study writing and publishing at York University in my hometown of Toronto, Ontario.

After graduating, I began freelance writing while traveling, working, and volunteering in 60 countries around the world. While teaching writing to children abroad, in South Korea and India, my students couldn’t relate to many of my favorite children’s books.

I realized that our world needed modern children’s books that dealt with modern concepts, such as inclusivity, technology, mindfulness, and various food lifestyles. I began specializing in writing and editing children’s literature and haven’t looked back.

I’ll write books about any subject, but I particularly like to write stories about inclusivity, technology, mindfulness, and various food lifestyles.

Ten years since my freelancing journey began, I’m still wildly passionate about writing and editing children’s books. I hope my stories nourish the next generation of readers, writers, and dreamers.

I’ve also been creating children’s music these past few years, and hope to tour the songs in the near future.
